So much so they squirts will be moved to AAA at the next tournament and the PW's move up as well! The Bantams had three tough games again Regency Ice Cats in the tournament and came away the runner ups. The 16U team was in every game going 1-1-2 for the weekend. Great weekend Wranglers

2019: 2007 OCEAN STATE LOBSTERFEST CHAMPIONS!

2007 rolls to a 4-0 record with some impressive scoring, stifling defense and spot on goal tending. After fighting their way through round robin play the team rolled through the Championship game with a 7-0 win to capture the Championship! Our 2006 team took part in their 1st ever checking tournament and held their own against some seasoned 2005 teams and place 3rd. Our 2008 team started off hot with a great 6-1 win but ran into some stiff competition along the way to finish out their weekend. It was a great weekend in the state of Rhode Island with both hockey and sightseeing and look forward to Toronto.

2019: Montreal CCM Super Challenge

The 2006 team brings home the hardware! It was a great showing for the 2006 team who brought home the Championship with a few convincing wins and a few close ones down the stretch. It was an all around team effort with a strong scoring punch, stifling defense and stellar goalie play. Our 2007 and 2008 team participated in their first Spring tournament and saw both success and a learning experience. The 2007 team started strong but needed two wins on Saturday after a tough loss Friday night to make the top three to move onto the Quarterfinals. The team banded together and pulled out two wins and moved onto play Sunday morning. Sunday morning the team saw their championship hopes dashed but they should all be proud for competing well in Montreal for the 1st tournament of the season. The 2008 team was participating in their first ever tournament. They gained much experience in Montreal and lost a heart breaker in the final minutes of the first game. Congrats to all our Wranglers for competing and for presenting yourself with class and integrity throughout.

2019: CCM Boston Spring Invite

Our 2006 team kicked off the Spring season on a high note at the CCM Boston Spring Invite. With 20 teams in the 2006 division the T.C. Wranglers came through pool play at 3-0 and grabbed one of the 4 spots to advance to the play off round. The played some exciting hockey against the likes of the Boston Jr. Whalers, Long Island Stars and Boston Lightning before facing Vert et Or of SSJ out of Quebec. Vert et Or of SSJ is a Prep school that was still playing their regular season schedule and the skaters have been together the entire Fall/Winter season. Their closest game until facing the TC Wranglers was a 6-1 contest. Our boys played right to the sound of the game ending horn but came up short 0-1; they had nothing to hang their heads about and were given a great compliment from the Vert Head Coach on was  great game our boys gave them. In the end our T.C. Wranglers were the top placing US team in the field of 20. Up next all three teams (2006, 2007 and 2008) will be in action at the Montreal CCM Super Challenge.

2018: Boston Challenge Cup

The best ending to a wonderful season. What was by far the most exciting tournament of the season happened to be the icing on the cake for our 2006 team. They began the tournament versus a tough Long Island Rebels team and then moved onto a Saturday morning face off against our cross town rivals the Mercs. The game was exactly as our previously games against them had been played, fast and physical; the Mercs got the best of the Wranglers that morning but it wouldn't be the end to the rival story.  The 2006 Wranglers knew they needed to win out the rest of the weekend for a final rematch with the Mercs and that they did with bigs wins versus Inside Edge Hockey and NJ Anchors. The Championship game came down to your 2006 T.C. Wranglers and the Mercs; the game did not disappoint. It was a back and forth physical game that was tied when the final buzzer sounded; the Wranglers were ready and overtime was a  4 vs 4 battle. The Wranglers were ready and hungry for the win; they struck quickly into the OT period and like any good hockey championship, gloves went flying and many hugs and handshakes were handed out.  What an amazing ending to a incredible summer which say two championships for the 2006 team and  several semi games for the 2006 and 2007 throughout the Spring/Summer.

2018: Ocean State Lobster Fest

Congrats to our 2006 team on bringing home the hardware!

It was a wonderful weekend in the state of Rhode Island both on and off the ice. Our 2006's came away with the Championship, our 2007's were tied amongst the top teams but got shuffled to the 3rd vs. 4th place game due to the time breaker (they did beat the eventual Champions though!) and ended the tournament 3-1-1! Our 2004's got in the W column with their second game and also played in the 3rd vs. 4th place game.

2018: Toronto Quest for the Cup

Success! Our 2007 & 2006 both advanced to the Champion round of 4 for the Toronto Quest for the Cup! Both teams saw success in the round robin divisions with the 2007 team going 3-0-1 and the 2006 team going 4-0; both teams knew going into the round of 4 it was going to be difficult as all 4 teams in both divisions could win/lose any game. The 2007's were going up against a team they had previously tied and the 2006's were taking on the one team they did not want to see quite yet. In the end both teams ended the tournament with a lose which is always difficult after have such a fun and successful weekend. Our kids, coaches and families should be extremely proud of themselves for the weekend successes; to come North of the Border and not only compete but to make it to the champion round of 4 was wonderful and a great accomplishment.

A shout out to our 2004 team who also took part in the Toronto Quest for the Cup. This was their 1st tournament of the year and they were still getting to know one another and many skaters where participating in their first ever game with checking involved. Though they did not see great success on the ice they are keeping their heads up as they next head to the Ocean State Lobster Fest in June and look forward to success.

2018 Minuteman Spring AAA Classic

Our 2007 T.C. Wranglers were participating in their 1st ever Spring Tournament while our 2006 team was looking to continue their success they had from last Spring/Summer. The 1st day saw some fast, intense, fun on the edge hockey played. Our 2006's are leading their division with only 1 goal allowed. Our 2007's were getting used to the AAA game speed but are keeping their heads up.

On Day 2 there was a lot of sightseeing as each team only had 1 game. The 2007's tipped it off in the morning, they keep battling and are a great group of kids willing to learn and put in the time and effort. They battled hard and given it 110%. The 2006's had a nail biter right to the end. They battled back from a 0-1 hole early and came away with an exciting win with 25 seconds left on the clock. They finished round robin play 3-0 and had the lowest goals against average in the Pee Wee Major division. With that win they were 1 of 4 teams to move to the gold medal round (it was a 14 team division).

Our 2007 team showed improvement each game they played this weekend and we can't wait to see them on the ice again in Toronto. For many on the 2007 team this is the 1st time they have taken part in Spring/Summer hockey and they are gaining confidence each time they step on the ice.

Our 2006 team lost a heartbreaker in OT versus the Jersey Hitmen. We were up early but the Hitmen fought back to tie it with little time on the clock which pushed the game into overtime. The overtime format went to 4 on 4 and was very fast up and down the ice hockey. We couldn’t be more proud of our kids for battling all weekend and coming away in 3rd place.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WRANGLERS! WE ARE VERY PROUD

2017: CCM Boston Elite Invite

The T.C. Wranglers 2006 Spring/Summer team based out of Lansing, NY was privileged to get an invite to participate in this prestigious CCM summer event. This tournament pitted the best of the best (Elite/AAA) from the Northeast over the course of three days August 4-6th. With seventeen teams entered in the 2006 division and this being the highest level tournament to date for the Wranglers not many had high hopes for them to finish anywhere near the top of the pack. This team proved everyone wrong and not only competed but they advanced to the playoff round and in the end finished in a respectable seventh out of seventeen team.

The Wranglers started off on a high note with a 4-3 overtime shootout win over Team New England which put confidence in each and every member of this team. The Wranglers then moved on to compete against the NH Nor’easters which we knew were a very quick team, but again our Wranglers were up to the challenge. It was a remarkable game played on both sides with great goalie play; in the end the Wranglers came away with a 1-2 loss but were ready to move onto Saturday’s all important game. Saturday’s game vs. Squire 17’s had all the marbles on the table, win and the team moves onto the playoff round, lose and it’s to the consolation game. The T.C. Wranglers came out and hit their mark skating away with an impressive 6-1 win & moving themselves into the playoffs. The playoffs started fast & furious versus a talented New England Crows team that had won 2 games on Friday to advance them into the playoff round. The Wranglers outshot the Crows & played them tough right to the buzzer sound but were unable to get anything past their goaltender; the final score had the Wranglers on the losing end 0-2.

In the end our skaters held their heads high knowing they exceeded all expectations. Every one of our skaters gave it their all and the bond they have on/off the ice cannot be replaced with any number of trophies or medals. We also want to thank our coaches (Jay Sciarabba, Jim Nielsen & Brian Long) that not only got these kids up and ready to compete at their best, but also instilled joy on/off the ice for the kids, summer is all about having fun right?

Backed by Aiden McKenna (Rochester, NY) & Tanner McKiven (Canastota, NY) the Wranglers had the 4th best goals against average in their age bracket allowing only six goals the entire tournament. The defense was anchored by Talon Whaley (Tampa, Fl), Stephen Falbo (Lansing, NY), Dominic Martyniuk (Columbus, OH), Adam Nielsen (Erin, NY), Tanner Long (Syracuse, NY) and Cody Bismarck (Clayton, NY).  Our forwards were Brady Coffin (Homer, NY), Dane Sciarabba (Freeville, NY), Owen Bismarck (Clayton, NY), Liam O’Connor (Homer, NY), Blake Carlisle (Ithaca, NY), Gabe O’Connor (Homer, NY), Connor Russell (Canastota, NY), Jake Hill (Whitesboro, NY) and Jake Garcia (New Hartford). I would also like to give a shout out to our Defensive Coach Brad Jump and our defensemen Dominic Jump who were unable to join us due to injury (they will be for the next one though).

The T.C. Wranglers finish off their summer season in Bridgeport, Connecticut at the Doritos Fall Tune up Tournament.

2017: Exhibition Games vs. Five Hole Hockey

The T.C. Wranglers took on Five Hole Hockey out of Pennsylvania. The Wranglers boost a roster of skaters from all over NY State to form a solid AA team. Many skaters met their teammates for the first time this weekend and very quickly gelled to form 3 solid lines of offense, 2 solids defensive lines and a goaltender not to be reckoned with! The Wranglers came away with two wins (5-1 & 6-2) but better yet new friendships were made and we had good preparation for our upcoming summer tournaments.

2017: Toronto May Madness, Toronto, Canada ~ Bronze Champions

The T.C. Wranglers took on Canada for the 1st time as a team and came away with the Bronze Championship. They headed into the last round robin game with control of their own destiny. A win put them in the Championship round, a tie in the Silver and a lose into the Bronze. It was all tied up with approximately 3 minutes left when the other team put in a hard slap shot that then sent the Wranglers to the Bronze game. The Wranglers responded well in the Bronze game and came away with a 3-0 win. The team could hold their head high knowing how well they competed in Toronto.

2017: 3 Rivers Cup, Pittsburgh, Pa ~ Champions

The T.C. Wranglers 2006 Travel Spring/Summer youth hockey team took home their first Championship at the Three Rivers Cup tournament series in Pittsburgh, Pa. May 5-7, 2017.
